State Navigate, a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit organization, accepts gifts, grants, and sponsorships from individuals and organizations for the general support of its activities. In 2025, most of State Navigate’s revenue came from large gifts, grants, and sponsorships from individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing our work in state legislatures. This page outlines all of the sponsorship opportunities for potential partners.

WAYS TO SPONSOR
State Partner Sponsorships
State Partner Sponsorships allow State Navigate to open its doors in a state: each state must prove its ability to raise at least $20,000-$30,000 each year for a full launch, demonstrating it is a state worth our staff’s time in building the tons of databases necessary. State partner sponsorships can range from $2,000 to $30,000, depending on the timeframe desired to cover our work and the state(s) involved. Sponsorship placements can be found on the State Navigate main landing page and state homepage.
Poll Sponsorships
State Navigate aims to poll as many state legislative and statewide elections as possible. Providing the public with high-quality, available information on where things stand in state government is of the utmost importance to our mission. We accept sponsorships for polling to help cover the basic cost of our team conducting one. Polling sponsorships are typically ~$4,000 for a state legislative district and ~$8,000 for a statewide election, but this may vary depending on the target population and whether a larger sample size is needed. We typically shoot for 300 likely voters in a state legislative district and 700 for a statewide election. For more information on our polling, see our Polling Fund page.
Interactive Sponsorships
State Navigate from time to time creates various interactives for state-level elections. These include early-voting tracking, redistricting analysis, and election-night reporting and race calls. Interactive sponsorship opportunities range from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on the state, interactive type, and expected traffic.
Forecast Sponsorships
State Navigate is the only website and organization in the country that forecasts state legislative elections, and is by far our most visited feature outside of our NavCast interactives. These sponsorships range from $2,000 to $7,500, depending on the state, forecast competitiveness, and expected traffic.
Newsletter Sponsorships
State Navigate sends out weekly newsletter roundups to the states where we operate. Subscribers to our sitewide newsletter have the opportunity to subscribe to an individual state of their choice and receive news hits once a week from across the ideological spectrum in that state. These newsletters were only recently launched and are building an audience, so a sponsorship for an individual state newsletter is only $100 per week.
