Rocky Mountain, Hallelujah!

It’s been 4 ½ months since State Navigate opened our doors in a new state. There are reasons for that: we were in a crunch in February and March and had to set up subscriptions as a result. In April and May, we were slammed with polls in Virginia, West Virginia, and Utah, while also preparing for election nights in both Virginias.

We’ve had Colorado on deck for a while now, and we’re ecstatic to finally open our doors in the Mountain State. This is the second western state and the ninth state overall that we’ve launched a website in.

Opening in Colorado hasn’t been easy: we had to navigate the challenges of scraping and organizing the state’s campaign finance data and were also unable to obtain primary election results, as the Secretary of State does not collect them (which we sincerely hope will change in the future). Our team has been determined to launch here ahead of primary season, and we’re proud to have accomplished this feat.

Immediately available are the standard features on each State Navigate website: a forecast, district summaries, campaign finance data, and news aggregation. With the general election just a couple of months away, State Navigate will shift back to making speedy state launches, with the goal of adding more content (legislative ideology, roll call votes, committees, legislators, etc.) in 2027.
